FGF: Focus on the process, not the outcome
Hey!
First off, my apologies if you receive this twice. We are in the midst of a software transition and we experienced a glitch this morning.
Anyways, we're back with another #feelgoodfriday. No matter what your goals are I hope you had a great week and feel that much closer to achieving them. This past Wednesday we talked about how much more joy we can bring to our lives by truly celebrating other people's wins. Imagining how they feel and how it would improve their lives. So this #feelgoodfriday we are going to kick things off with a few more member wins and remind you that no matter how big or how small, a WIN is a WIN. #countem
Own your wins!
“I PR’d my bench press Monday night and my DL last night!🎉🎉🎉”
“ I’d guess I’m up about 50 lbs in my bench from then and I think close to 100lbs in squat I’m pretty sure I was somewhere in the mid 300s two years ago! Same as your post lately it’s been years since a 400 lb squat was confident. Yesterday I did 415 for 3, last year I maxed 405 in January and it was everything I had. Insane progress in my opinion.” -Brent F.
“Hiiii good morning I did a REAL push up this morning - on my toes, chest to deck, no slouchy midsection. So stoked 😭😭 jake demanded to see it so I did extra after the workout haha can’t believe it!” -Alex G.
“ My workouts are definitely different, much stronger and better endurance to get through the workouts. I’m so happy to be back in the 140’s and multiple people have said they’ve notice I’ve lost weight and I’m looking more muscular. 🥳🥳🥳 “
“Everything feels great. Just from when I first started I'm sleeping way better and feel wayyy stronger. And I notice when I hit my macros I feel satisfied. I absolutely LOVE the workouts they are my jam. Thanks so much”
“My biggest wins thus far have been the obvious-watching the numbers on the scale creep down but the not so obvious wins would be feeling stronger and feeling a sense of hope for the first time in almost 20 years.”
“I got a size 2 Jean off Facebook swap and shop and they fit so good!! Down another pant size.”
“ I am just OVER THE MOON! 200.2 pounds this morning! I wanted to be under 200 by June 1! Looks like I am going to smash that goal! I just can’t believe it. I’m stronger, eating real food, not deprived of anything and losing weight.”
Celebrate. Cheer. Feel Good.
I don't know about you but I can't help but smile ear to ear reading those.
If you aren't feeling like you are to the point where you can tally a big win just yet, start a bit smaller. Look at #winning differently and see how many little wins you can stack throughout the day.
For instance, a person's BIG win may be to lose 50lbs or PR their back squat. The small wins along the way might look like:
-Running 1 mile without stopping to walk
-Beating a time cap on a workout
-Losing inches
-Saying no thanks to donuts at work
You get the idea. The little wins along the way are what stack to get to the BIG win.
Focus on the process, not the outcome.
When we get so focused on the outcome, it can seem forever and a day away. Get familiar with the workouts, enjoy the math of the macros, have fun in the kitchen playng around with new recipes and foods, make friends with the fellow #teamfitlv members. When you enjoy the process, every day will feel like an achievement in its own way.
Speaking of recipes, it's been awhile since I have shared one here. This has become a routine staple for a sweet in our house. Last night we went with the Gluten Free Funfetti mix so my husband could enjoy them too. Let me know if you give these a shot!🥳
"Hey Kristi!!! I heard you had an announcement?!"
