Coach K back with another #feelgoodfriday. The day after Thanksgiving and thankful doesn’t begin to describe it.

But I am feeling very thankful this morning reflecting back on our Thanksgiving. I started the day off with our 1st Annual FIT LV Ugly Sweater run with some of FIT LV members and friends. I decided 1/2 way through this had to become a tradition because what a better way to kick off the Christmas season than with some festive fun?! We will run it for charity next year and of course make a virtual option. Put it on your calendar now!

Starting holidays and birthdays off with a workout or run to reflect on my life has been routine for many years now. While many people start these special days off with food and booze(no shade), I just like to really be IN my body and show my body love and gratitude. For me, movement is one of the best ways to do this. I am grateful to have some amazing teammates and friends that prefer to do the same. 

After the run I baked some cookies(REAL cookies) with the boys and we took a family walk with the dogs. I realized I am going to need a bike soon to keep up with them on their bikes!! Then we headed over to Steve's moms house for dinner.  Thanksgiving was a simple holiday here for us this year, no cooking and a small gathering. Thanksgiving dinner catering is not bad, PLUS no mess! (Feels a bit like cheating haha) 

I hope you had great holiday however you chose to spend it. ❤️


As we head into December, I see a LOT of peoples fitness goals go out the window. I'm not sure if it is the Holiday distractions or the default of the January restart, maybe a combo of both. I want you to consider where you would be with 31 days of consistency (give or take a few ;)). 31 days to take action and move the needle while everyone else takes December "off" to eat and drink. 

I have created this habit calendar to focus on some basic habits in the month of December with the hopes that you will implement and continue to make progress towards your goals.

A month from now, you can be a month closer to your goals or a month further away, the coolest part: YOU'RE IN CONTROL.
